Moscow, RussiaIn today’s ultra-competitive fitness industry, clubs require a technology system to reduce cost and improve member experience. When Adidas decided to open its new club, TheBase, at Moscow Headquarters, it quickly became clear that a GANTNER system based on NFC technology would be the most suitable way to achieve these aims. Starting from customized NFC membership wristbands, to biometric access control, to the electronic locking system in the changing rooms, GANTNER’s system covers all aspects of operations for the new club.
During registration, each new member receives their own branded, NFC membership wristband and is enrolled at a GANTNER Biometric Enrollment Station where the member’s fingerprint is encrypted onto their wristband. This one-of-a-kind solution effectively automates access control, while preventing membership sharing.
In addition to the access terminals, the wristband also operates with the alarmed changing room lockers, secured by the GAT NET locking system. Features of the locking system include: the ability to program automatic openings for night cleaning, real-time occupancy monitoring, and detailed usage statistics. If a member has forgotten which locker they used information terminals, installed in the men and women’s locker rooms, can display their used locker number, requiring no time from staff.
From the entrance to exit, the GANTNER NFC club management system ensures club members can focus on what matters most – enjoying the many amenities and classes TheBase club offers, whilst operators can relax in knowing their club is run by a tried-and-tested technology system.
