Telstra
AustraliaWhen Australia’s largest telecommunications and media company, Telstra, decided to redevelop its commercial offices in the Central Business District of Sydney, a clear priority was identified – the design of the new head office needed to promote employee productivity and satisfaction. To accomplish this aim, Telstra implemented their new approach known as Future Ways of Working. In similar ways to other flexible office design concepts, Future Ways of Working provides employees freedom about how, when and where they work.
The GANTNER smart locking system provides an easy to manage personal storage solution for employees and is an essential component to the Future Ways of Working strategies. GAT Relaxx software, used to manage the multi-building installation, displays real-time occupancy, alarm status, locker usage statistics and the ability to configure lockers for multiple operational modes – free, personal and shared. Rather than requiring mechanical keys, lockers can be conveniently operated with high security staff ID cards. A clear LED display, shows green for “available” and red for “in use” ensuring the system is easy and intuitive to use.
After a highly successful installation of GANTNER’s networked locking system in the Sydney Head Office, Telstra confirmed their vision to extend the smart locking solution to their buildings in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Hobart and Newcastle.
