The compact read/write devices can read and write any kind of RFID credential like chip cards or wristbands. For security, efficiency, and comfort: The GANTNER system ensures that only paying guests pass the access control point. At the same time, it provides you with valuable statistical data.

This way GANTNER’s mobile RFID card readers reduce queues and increase security for your company.

With the appropriate software, the device at the reception counter also functions as a check-in for members, employees, or guests. An RFID data carrier in the form of a card or wristband transmits authorization data according to predefined roles.

Touchless Payment: A Compact HID for Use at the POS

The mobile RFID reader works as an HID (Human Interface Device) in conjunction with a point of sales system. It enables customers to pay at the self-service station, bar or counter with touchless payment. The system works with or without staff. The employees or guests use a POS system with barcode scanner or selection interface to enter goods. The total amount for their purchase is simply paid with a previously loaded credit or deducted with the monthly membership fee.

Guests at pools and other facilities also have the option of charging credentials with RFID chips to pay for snacks or drinks at a restaurant or at vending machines. At the end of the visit, they can pay the accrued amount for example at a vending machine or cash register. The same RFID transponders can be used for payment at a cashless vending machine equipped with our RFID solution.

Via the interface on your computer, you can also write information on the RFID credentials. At a payment station, for example in a cafeteria, a one-sided reading function via USB is sufficient to enable cashless payment with the available credit.
